I am an enthusiastic independent consultant specialising in data governance, as well as being a qualified Project and Programme Manager.
I am experienced in designing and implementing full data governance frameworks in both regulatory and non-regulatory environments. I have worked in data management for nine years, initially for Lloyds TSB, before becoming a consultant at the beginning of 2009. While working for Platon and then Glue Reply, I implemented a Data Governance Model for Thomson Reuters and a Data Centre of Excellence for the Ministry of Defence. Recently I have spent most of my time delivering data governance to meet Solvency II requirements for Direct Line Group.
I have presented at conferences on Data Management topics, am a Director and Committee Member of DAMA UK and am on the Expert Panel of www.dataqualitypro.com.
I presented at the BCS Data Management Specialist Group event on the 29th March 2012, on selling Solvency II Data Governance to the Business and was a member of the panel discussion: Data Governance in a Regulatory Environment at the Data Governance Conference Europe in London this April.
